Job Summary

The QC Technician plays a vital role in maintaining OI’s business integrity by ensuring the production of quality products that meet customer expectations. This role involves working closely with the Plant Engineer, Sales, and Production teams through inspections and testing throughout the production process. QC Technicians are meticulous individuals capable of handling multiple products efficiently.

Job Responsibilities

1. Perform pre-pour inspections on products, including verifying reinforcing, insert, and hole locations.
2. Conduct post-pour inspections to ensure products are ready for delivery to customers.
3. Represent customer interests within our factory environment.
4. Test concrete and raw materials as needed.
5. Lead QC meetings and follow up on corrective actions.
6. Coordinate with production on schedule changes and errors.
7. Assist in conducting QA audits.
8. Train plant employees on concrete technology and QC requirements.

Job Requirements

1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Quality control experience in a related industry.
3. ACI / PCI Certification preferred; or required to pass ACI Concrete Field Testing within 3 months and maintain certification.
4. Basic computer skills.
5. Ability to read/write instructions and communicate effectively with team members.
6. Ability to lift up to 40 lbs periodically throughout the day.
