Job summary

Diamond Vogel is seeking a Quality Control Technician to perform routine inspections, testing, and evaluations to ensure products meet quality and safety standards. You will document results, evaluate color accuracy, and collaborate with production, R&D, and QA teams to drive continuous improvement.

The role requires 1–3 years in quality control or related settings, an Associate degree or equivalent experience, and a willingness to learn ERP and quality systems.

About the role:The Quality Control Technician role is responsible for performing routine quality inspections, testing, and evaluations to ensure products meet Diamond Vogel’s quality standards, safety requirements, and customer expectations. This role supports daily quality control operations through hands‑on testing, documentation, and collaboration with production and other departments, helping ensure consistent product quality and compliance.

What you’ll do:

Perform routine inspections and physical, visual, and analytical testing on raw materials, in‑process products, and finished goods.

Evaluate products against established quality specifications, standards, and tolerances.

Accurately document inspection results, test data, and observations in ERP and quality systems.

Visually evaluate, compare, and identify color variations to ensure products meet color standards.

Learn and use color matching software and spectrophotometer systems to support accurate color measurement and evaluation.

Identify quality concerns, deviations, or trends and promptly communicate findings to Quality Control leadership.

Assist with investigations into quality issues, non‑conformances, and customer complaints as needed.

Support corrective and preventive actions by following updated procedures and quality standards.

Collaborate with production, R&D, and quality team members to support smooth workflow and alignment with quality requirements.

Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on product quality, safety, and operational efficiency.

Calculate corrections for out of spec products with detailed documentation.

All other duties as assigned.

What skills and experience you’ll need:

1-3 years of experience in quality control, manufacturing, laboratory, or production environment preferred.

Experience in chemical, coatings, or related industry is a plus.

Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow procedures and specifications accurately.

Good organizational skills with the ability to manage routine tasks and shifting priorities.

Clear communication skills to report findings and collaborate with team members and leadership.

Comfort using Microsoft Office and willingness to learn ERP, quality documentation systems, and other Quality software.

Associate degree in a related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.

Ability to work in a fast‑paced production environment.

Strong visual color acuity with the ability to evaluate color differences; ability to learn and use color matching software and spectrophotometer systems.
