Job Description - Quality Control Technician (2500015Z)

What You’ll Do:
  1. Ensure Quality Control: Conduct routine testing of in-process materials, raw materials, environmental samples, and finished products to ensure quality at various stages. Adhere to testing standards including ASTM, AASHTO, and DOT.
  2. Document and Report Information: Complete reports accurately and timely, interpret and store results, and communicate findings to supervisors.
  3. Maintain Lab Standards: Ensure cleanliness, troubleshoot issues, review product specifications, and calibrate equipment regularly.
  4. Monitor Stockpile: Inspect stockpiles, sources, and truckloads, monitor construction processes to prevent contamination, and notify management of issues.
  5. Inspect Equipment and Structures: Conduct routine inspections to ensure safe, reliable, and compliant operations.
  6. Additional Responsibilities: Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills You’ll Need:
  • Experience: Prior training or experience in materials testing preferred; knowledge of aggregate production is a plus.
  • Safety Knowledge: Awareness of construction and mining hazards.
  • Math Skills: Ability to perform arithmetic calculations.
  • Technology Skills: Proficiency with computerized equipment, Microsoft Office, Google, Oracle, and other relevant software.
