This position involves conducting routine sampling of raw materials and finished products, performing tests at various manufacturing stages, and conducting visual inspections to ensure quality standards are met. Responsibilities include maintaining lab cleanliness and safety, reporting test results, and completing documentation such as data forms and logbooks.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with SOPs and regulations.
• Monitor manufacturing processes as a roving inspector.
• Inspect and log incoming raw materials and packaging.
• Sample, inspect, and release raw materials and finished products.
• Prepare samples for lab testing.
• Manage inventory of labels and samples.
• Investigate customer complaints.
• Operate lab equipment including Nicolet FT-iR and NIR-iR.
• Destroy rejected materials per SOPs.
• Issue PBRs and review production runs.
• Lift up to 50lbs as needed.
• Complete all documentation thoroughly.
• Learn to operate forklift and other equipment.

Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in quality control, GMP, and chemistry.
• Lab operations proficiency and troubleshooting skills.
• Manufacturing and food quality experience.
• Knowledge of GMP, documentation, and inventory management.
• Understanding of biology, QC, and PLC troubleshooting.

Additional Skills

• Basic math and computer skills, including MS Office.
• Ability to work independently, especially during second shift.

The role is onsite in Middletown, CT, with a pay range of $24-$26/hr. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401(k), life insurance, disability, HSA, and more. Application deadline is May 31, 2025.
