Job summary

Martin Concrete Construction is seeking a qualified Quality Control Technician to oversee quality and compliance across our concrete projects. You’ll conduct field inspections, review drawings, and ensure subcontractors meet the latest specifications while maintaining thorough records.

This role requires a methodical, detail-oriented approach, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work with project teams on site.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct daily field inspections to ensure quality standards are met and maintained throughout the project.
  • Review construction documents such as blueprints to identify and address conflicts or discrepancies.
  • Ensure subcontractors and vendors adhere to current drawings, specifications, and quality requirements.
  • Inspect materials and equipment deliveries for compliance with project standards.
  • Perform pre-work, initial, follow-up, and final inspections to confirm compliance with contract requirements.
  • Document and maintain comprehensive inspection records, including deficiency tracking and quality control reports.
  • Actively participate in quality assurance meetings, including pre-pour, pre-final, and punch list inspections.
  • Partner with the Quality Control Manager, project management, and field operations to align inspection schedules with project timelines.
  • Uphold strict safety standards by ensuring the availability and understanding of Job Hazard Analyses, Safety Data Sheets, and site-specific safety plans.
  • Foster strong professional relationships with clients, contractors, and team members by maintaining open, respectful communication.

As a Quality Control Technician, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring the quality and compliance of our concrete construction projects.
