Job summary

Oldcastle Infrastructure, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented QC technician to join our industrial manufacturing team in Houston, TX. You will perform routine tests on raw materials, in-process components and finished products in indoor/outdoor settings.

The role requires basic computer skills, the ability to lift up to 40 lbs, and effective communication with the crew. Prior QC experience and certification are highly valued for this non-exempt position.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Quality control experience in a related industry.
• ACI/PCI Certification preferred, or ability to pass ACI Concrete Field Testing within 3 months.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to read/write simple instructions and communicate with team.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. periodically.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily compressive strength testing of hardened concrete specimens
• Perform daily pre/post pour inspections on products
• Monitor production operations as required
• Assist when necessary with strip, setup, and pouring of products
• Report to management team on process improvements, repetitive mistakes, and quality concerns
• Other responsibilities may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed
