Job summary

Oldcastle Infrastructure, a CRH company, is seeking a Quality Control Technician to perform a range of tests in an industrial manufacturing environment. The role focuses on routine material testing, process monitoring, and contributing to quality improvements across projects.

The technician will conduct compressive strength tests on concrete samples, assist with production setup and pouring, and communicate findings to management to support product quality and process optimization.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • ACI Field Grade Level I certification is required.
  • NPCA PQS I certification is required.
  • NPCA PQS II QC/QA certification is required.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to read/write simple instructions are required.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs periodically throughout the day.

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily compressive strength testing of hardened concrete specimens.
  • Monitor production operations as required.
  • Assist with strip, setup, and pouring of products as needed.
  • Report to management on process improvements, repetitive mistakes, and quality concerns.
  • Other duties may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed.

The ideal candidate in this role will perform a wide range of duties in an industrial indoor and outdoor manufacturing environment. This individual will be performing routine tests as required on raw materials, in process components and final product.
