Job Summary

The Quality Control Inspector performs quality checks on the production floor.

Job Responsibilities
  1. Monitor production activities and verify procedures are followed according to all specifications by communicating with production leads.
  2. Oversee daily production to ensure proper batching, placement, and curing techniques.
  3. Monitor test data for compliance with all specifications and notify the Quality Control Manager of deviations.
  4. Control movement of items through various production stages and mark items as necessary for timely completion.
  5. Familiarize with Quality System Procedure Manuals regularly to understand specific requirements.
  6. Perform pre- and post-pour inspections of precast/prestressed concrete products.
  7. Document all testing and inspections accurately and backup records on the network server.
  8. Conduct regular testing such as concrete testing, moisture, gradations, and dry fits.
  9. Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  10. Assist in reducing detailing operations, document repairs, and initiate maintenance and corrective actions.
  11. Report major defects promptly to the Quality Control Manager.
Job Requirements
  • At least 5 years of experience in QC and/or concrete testing.
  • ACI Field Tech I certification; PCI Level I, II, or III preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret shop/engineering drawings.
  • Maintain clear, precise records and be familiar with Microsoft Office.
  • Collaborate with engineering to ensure drawing and product consistency.
  • Good attendance, positive attitude, team-oriented, eager to learn, self-motivated, and able to work quickly in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willing to assist in training and perform hands-on activities.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
Compensation

The hourly pay rate ranges from $24.33 to $28.99.
