Position: Cottonseed Quality Control Technician

Location: 890 N Power Rd, Bapchule, AZ 85121

Schedule: 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM

Number of Positions: 8

Responsibilities

• Assist the Quality Control Lab Supervisor in testing fuzzy cottonseed, processed, and carryover cottonseed for quality standards.
• Perform tests such as truck sampling, moisture, temperature, free fatty acids, genetic purity, visual/mechanical damage, adventitious presence, seed count, pH, seed appearance, data verification, and data entry, following SOPs and Work Instructions.
• Work closely with other workers daily.
• Maintain a clean work area and lab.
• Follow safe work practices.
• Work involves standing, climbing stairs, bending, reaching, and handling industrial equipment and labware.
• Handle lab chemicals safely.
• Assist in other duties as assigned by the QC Supervisor.
• Work primarily in indoor lab, outdoor truck probing station, warehouse sampling, and plant settings.
• Wear PPE (safety glasses, lab coat, gloves, safety boots, hardhat), provided by the company.
• Potential cross-training in the Plant Quality Assurance Lab.
• Flexible to work extended hours during peak season (November-December), including Saturdays.
• Background in biology, lab, or agriculture preferred.

Job Requirements

• Background in biology, chemistry, quality control, or assurance preferred.
• High School diploma required; college education a plus.
• Potential for extension based on performance.

Additional Information

Salary range: $20.00 - $22.00, varies based on experience and qualifications. Bonuses or incentives may apply.
