Job description

Join to apply for the Quality Control Technician role at The Dixon Group.

We are seeking a Quality Inspection/Control Technician to join our team in West Chester, OH. The ideal candidate will perform quality control inspections, checks, and tests on incoming products and during internal manufacturing processes. A minimum of one year of related experience is required, including familiarity with standard metrology gauges, coordinate measuring machines (CMM and/or PCMM), and other quality control instruments. Experience with PolyWorks, Mitutoyo MCOSMOS, or a portable measuring arm is a plus.

Essential Functions

1. Perform inspections and tests (receiving, first-article, machine shop, etc.)
2. Create and edit quality control inspection documents, procedures, and corrective action requests
3. Verify gauge calibration and maintain records
4. Support purchasing, warehouse, and production with inspections aligned with engineering drawings and specifications
5. Record observations and recommend process improvements
6. Provide mechanical and technical assistance to support manufacturing operations
7. Support tooling, gaging, and related items technically

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred
• Extensive knowledge of gauges, tooling, and inspection items
• Familiarity with CMM and similar tools
• Strong understanding of quality control processes and inspection criteria
• Detail-oriented and well-organized
• 3D CAD knowledge is a plus
