Job summary

CKS Packaging, Inc. is seeking a QC Technician for our Atlanta, GA facility on the 3rd shift (Mon-Fri, 11:00pm-7:00am, with most Saturdays). The role involves ensuring bottle quality, performing leak and vision checks, and conducting line inspections.

Compensation is experience-based with comprehensive benefits included. Responsibilities include testing various bottle specs, maintaining records, and coordinating with operators to address defects.

Qualifications

  • Possess basic math and writing skills.
  • Ability to read, understand, and apply work instructions and job aids.
  • Ability to utilize testing equipment, including hand-held calipers.

Responsibilities

  • Continually monitor bottle quality to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Perform leak detector and vision system checks.
  • Conduct tests for all lines: finish measurements, wall thickness, top load, bottle height and panel widths, drop tests, weight, visual and bottle integrity inspections, volume and overflow.
  • Use equipment: caliper, scale, height gauge.
  • Troubleshoot testing equipment as needed.
  • Perform line inspections and place nonconforming products on hold with proper tagging.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Continually monitor bottle quality to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Perform leak detector and vision system checks

  • Perform line inspections
  • Place nonconforming product on hold, tagging each pallet, and ensuring the product is isolated and moved to the designated hold area
  • Work with machine operators, supervisors, etc. to correct defective conditions
  • Conduct first article inspections on new product, new molds, and at line start-ups
  • Maintain quality records
Skills/Qualifications:
