Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Collect samples from concrete or aggregate plants.
• Perform and record aggregate gradations.
• Run field tests for concrete performance.
• Process samples with testing equipment and methods.
• Communicate any material flaws to supervisors.
• Assist with safety and housekeeping tasks.
• Enter data into computer systems and share results.
• Interact with plant staff and customers; travel as needed.

Position Overview

Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)

• Collect samples from concrete or aggregate plants
• Performs and records aggregate gradations
• Performs field tests for concrete performance
• Process samples using a variety of testing equipment and procedures
• Promptly communicate with supervisors on any flaws in material.
• Take action to avoid potential hazards or obstructions.
• Record data and enter information into computer systems
• Communicate with plant staff and customers
• Travel to and from various sites
• Performs general clean-up and maintenance duties as assigned
• Routinely assist other members of the work force in different areas of production
• Regular and timely attendance
• Participate in and promote an inclusive work environment

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Valid driver’s license required. No more than 3 moving violations in the last 3 years, and no DUI's within the last year.
• Demonstrates proficiency in basic mathematics and proficiency in Microsoft & PC programs.
• Demonstrates excellent internal and external customer service skills.
• Ability to obtain A.C.I. Concrete Technician certification, Concrete Strength Testing certification, and all applicable WAQTC certifications.
• Must pass physical exam and pre-employment controlled substance testing. Per RCW 49.44.240 this position has been identified by the employer as safety sensitive and will be subject to an employer-required pre-employment drug screening that includes testing for nonpsychoactive cannabis metabolites.
