  • 1st shift M-F
  • $27-30/hr + bonus (direct hire)

This position is responsible for preparing samples, testing all materials in accordance with work instructions, customer specifications and recording test results as required. Principle areas of focus are assisting in improving quality controls, inspecting all incoming raw materials and manufactured products, and verifying that the Certificate of Analysis meets all specifications before the raw materials are released to inventory.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Act as Subject Matter Expert in preparation of raw material and manufactured product inspections, regulatory audits, and internal compliance.
  • Assist in maintaining all Quality Control policies and procedures. This includes monitoring Quality Control compliance objective and procedures to ensure that targets are achieved.
  • Ensures all quality control documentations are accurately completed. This includes, release fill tickets, test reports, final sign-off of test worksheets, etc.
  • Actively participate in regulatory inspections, certification audits, and Internal Quality Audit programs.
  • Audit Hazardous Waste Controls in accordance with OSHA and HazMat compliance.
  • Coordinate change management processes to ensure that classification and regulatory updates to products and raw materials are managed and communicated effectively and in accordance with ISO 9001:2015 and AS9100 quality standards.
  • Assist in coordinating and communicating internal department feedback (scorecards) regarding product performance.
  • Assist with the internal administrative cycle of processing Nonconformance Reports (NCRs).
  • Ability to complete SPC Charts.
  • Support and act as backup to Quality Control team.
  • Perform inspections of all manufactured products in accordance with testing instructions and specification requirements.
  • Maintain a Quality Control Log containing date, product name, batch number and sample number for each product manufactured.
  • Support continuous improvement activities to enhance the Company’s Quality Controls.
  • Actively engage in Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) activities.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following company standards and regulations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be able to effectively interact and professionally communicate with internal departments.
  • Must have basic ISO9001 and AS9100 auditing experience.
  • Must be comfortable working in a laboratory environment performing tests for product specifications.
  • Must have excellent mathematical skills.
  • Must have excellent computer skills including MS Office (i.e. Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.).

Required Education and/or Experience:

  • ASQ related discipline certification preferred.
  • Minimum 1 year of ISO9001 and AS9100 auditing experience preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in chemical or related industry preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree highly preferred
  • Diagnostics and analytical experience highly preferred
  • Chemical manufacturing highly preferred
  • Vicinity experience highly preferred.
