Quality Control Team Lead

Monday – Friday;

$50800 - $76,400

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide daily work direction and prioritize workload within their function(s).
• Responsible for department/shift in absence of supervision.
• Direct team members to meet deadlines, productivity goals, and assignments.
• Create the necessary movements and transactions in SAP
• Conduct or direct the processing of Quality Notifications – Customer and Supplier
• Direct the processing of quality issues and requests in within the site and from the other Tennant sites and departments.
• Supervise the processing of materials into and out of QCINSPECT and QCPREPACK
• Manage the inventory in QCHOLD. Work with suppliers and materials department to quickly resolve the issues of the materials within.
• Lead continuous improvement efforts and Kaizen events.
• Identify, troubleshoot and resolve bottlenecks, process failures, incomplete procedures, supply chain problems and training deficiencies. Use a data driven problem solving approach to make fact based decisions.
• Monitor key metrics to assess safety, quality, engagement, delivery, and cost.
• Actively engage and collaborate with team for improvements of safety, quality, delivery and cost.
• Provide root cause & short term corrective action for customer service and quality issues.
• Aid in troubleshooting problems within the function.
• Ensure the training of associates.
• Report violations of policies and procedures to supervisor.
• Attend and actively participate in start of shift meetings daily.
• Trained in security and emergency response details.
• Spend 90% of time on the floor and 10% of time behind the computer.
• Work on floor as assigned.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:

• Prefer a 2 year degree from an accredited institution.
• Previous experience in a distribution center environment. Tennant Company experience preferred.
• Must be knowledgeable in SAP
• Experience leading teams preferred.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities and experience.

• Ability to acquire a forklift license.

• Consistent attendance either onsite or remotely as needed by the business.

• Demonstrated ability to work independently, organize and accurately prioritize work, be detail-oriented, understand when urgency is required and use good judgment in varied situations.
• Must be flexible with schedule to cover OT and absentee.

REQUIRED PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move 40 pounds.

Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. Tennant Sales and Service Co. reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualifications of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity. The salary range reflects both entry into the role and future growth. Total Compensation = Base Salary + Benefits
