Job summary

Nikkiso Clean Energy & Industrial Gases is seeking a Quality Control Supervisor to oversee daily QC inspection activities across manufacturing processes, ensuring compliance with ASME, customer specs, and company standards. The role collaborates with Manufacturing, Engineering, and customer reps to meet inspection deliverables.

The ideal candidate has welding/pressure vessel experience and leads QA teams, providing guidance and ensuring accurate inspection documentation and NCR handling.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical education preferred.
• 3–5 years in quality control inspection in manufacturing, welding, pressure vessels, or related industrial environments.
• Experience in lead or supervisory roles with training and assigning work.
• Working knowledge of ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code and inspection documentation.
• Experience inspecting welded assemblies, pressure vessels, piping, and related equipment.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management systems and associated documentation.
• Ability to read engineering drawings, weld symbols, and specifications.
• Experience coordinating inspections with Authorized Inspectors and third-party agencies.

Responsibilities

• Supervise QC Inspectors and coordinate daily inspection activities.
• Plan inspection activities based on production schedules and resources.
• Oversee ASME Code and non-Code inspections of pressure vessels and piping.
• Ensure products meet drawings, specs, and customer requirements.
• Review inspection reports, certifications, test records, and weld documentation.
• Coordinate witness and hold points with inspectors and QA agencies.
• Maintain calibration program for inspection equipment.
• Identify nonconformances and support corrective actions.
• Train and mentor QC staff and support staffing needs.
• Promote safe working environment and participate in internal/external audits.
