Job summary

FM Industries in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a hands-on Supervisor, Quality Control to lead the quality deployment and process improvement across the plant. This role manages a quality team and partners with engineering, manufacturing and operations to ensure adherence to standards and customer requirements.

You will direct audits, quality engineering, first article reporting and supplier quality while mentoring up to 20 staff including coordinators, inspectors and engineers, driving KPI improvements

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering or Quality discipline, or 5 years related experience.
• Advanced knowledge of ASME Y14.5GD&T Techniques.
• 5-7 years leading and managing Quality or manufacturing in machining, semiconductor equipment, automotive or medical device sector.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of the plant quality operation including audits, inspection, quality engineering, first article reporting, non-conforming product management, supplier quality.
• Set appropriate goals for department staff and improve quality standards and technologies.
• Act as a strong advocate for quality in the New Product Development Process.
• Represent the company externally in conversations with key customers and partners.
• Establish a sustainable culture of continuous improvement and report KPIs to leadership.
