Job summary

Bay Ltd. is seeking a QA/QC Manager to establish and manage the project Quality Assurance/Quality Control program for a large-scale civil construction project with substantial concrete work. You will ensure activities, materials, testing, and documentation meet project specs, drawings, codes, and contractual requirements.

The role requires coordinating with project management, engineering, and subcontractors, maintaining QA/QC plans, and promoting a strong safety culture on site.

Qualifications

• Minimum High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality control inspection required in civil construction.
• Preferred Certifications – Concrete Construction (ACI).
• OSHA 30.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain the project-specific QA/QC Plan.
• Establish quality control procedures, inspection requirements, hold points, and testing requirements.
• Ensure project personnel understand and follow established quality requirements.
• Monitor construction activities to verify compliance with drawings, specifications, approved submittals, and applicable standards.
• Coordinate quality requirements with project management, engineering, construction, and subcontractors.
• Participate in project planning and constructability reviews with an emphasis on quality and compliance.
• Provide and maintain documentation as required by contract, code(s), standards, specifications, or jurisdictional requirements
• Ensure compliance of all safety procedures and policies (including client’s) while promoting the Company’s safety culture.
• Performs other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.

JOB SUMMARY

The QA/QC Manager is responsible for establishing, implementing, and managing the project Quality Assurance/Quality Control program for a large-scale civil construction project with a significant volume of concrete work. This position will ensure that construction activities, materials, testing, documentation, and completed work comply with project specifications, approved drawings, applicable codes and standards, and contractual requirements.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to work outdoors, exposed to heat and humidity, cold and rain, and around heavy traffic areas
• Ability to stand or sit for long periods of time which may consist of 8 or more hours
• Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another constantly perform repeating motions with feet, leg, wrists, hands and/or fingers to include walking, standing, kneeling, crouching, twisting, bending, gripping, climbing
• Ability to climb ladders, stairs and scaffolds
• Ability to walk on beams and narrow surfaces at and above ground level
• Ability to frequently walk on uneven surfaces, including natural ground in varying weather conditions
