Job summary

IPG Photonics Corporation is seeking a Quality Control Supervisor for the 2nd shift (3–11 PM) in Marlborough, MA. The role oversees quality inspectors and ensures adherence to GMP and QMS objectives within a medical device context.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years in quality supervision, strong Microsoft Word/Excel skills, and solid knowledge of ISO13485, ISO14644, CFR 21-820. On-site opportunities include comprehensive benefits and growth potential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Additional training in quality; medical device focus preferred.
• 5+ years in a quality supervisor or equivalent role (medical device preferred).
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.

• Experience with QMS, PLM and CMMS systems.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise quality inspectors on 2nd Shift to support QA activities such as Quality Inspections, DHR review, and NCMRs
• Prioritizing Inspection of incoming materials, components and subassemblies and First Article Inspections upon request
• Work with Manufacturing and Project Engineers to develop inspection and test methods and related acceptance criteria
• Support improvement processes that include nonconformance action
• Investigate NCMR’s with proper material disposition, as needed
• Perform manufacturing Device History Record (DHR) review including sterile product release of finished goods
• Adhere to good manufacturing practices and good documentation practices
• Promote awareness, visibility and communication relative to QMS goals and initiatives
• Improve, support and maintain processes within the Quality Management System
• Participate in CAPA’s to better improve company practices and systems
• Adhere to a culture of continuous improvement and system efficiencies
• Maintain accurate and complete equipment calibration tracker and equipment files
• Assist in external audit preparation

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required
• Additional training inQuality and/or a focus in medical device preferred
• 5 or more years of experience in a Quality supervisor or equivalent role (medical device preferred, other regulated industries considered)
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
• Understanding of ISO13485, ISO14644, andCFR 21-820
• User experience of QMS, PLM and CMMS systems
• Organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to read drawings and prints
• Positive and cooperative communication and collaboration with all levels of employees, contractors and vendors
