Job summary

JBS Foods is seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Supervisor to lead a team of QA Technicians and production staff in a high-demand environment. The role focuses on stopping wasteful production of subpar products and ensuring customers do not receive low-quality items.

Responsibilities include coordinating pre-operation examinations, resolving issues, coordinating with USDA inspectors, and ensuring HACCP compliance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years in a food manufacturing plant or similar.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• Extensive knowledge of QA and production processes, with supervisory experience.
• Ability to make quick, informed decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong supervisory, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines; overtime/weekends.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise pre-operation examinations and sanitation checks.
• Resolve product and personnel issues as they arise.
• Communicate with USDA inspectors on product, safety and personnel matters.
• Ensure compliance with HACCP plans for all products.
• Establish shelf-life, finished product specs, weights, temps and related standards.
• Direct, motivate and monitor QA technicians; hire and evaluate staff.
• Sample finished products and raw materials for bacteria.
• Oversee production employee safety and cleanliness; ensure QA duties are completed.
• Test new equipment for quality aspects; perform other duties as assigned.

Role:

Our Company is seeking an experiencedQuality Assurance Supervisor to lead a team of QA Technicians and other production professionals, aimingto stop wasteful production of poor-quality products and help ensure customers do not receive subpar products.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and supervise pre-operation examination, when applicable. Examine and verify cleanliness and sanitation of equipment and facilities


• Resolve problems and issues with products and employees as they arise


• Communicate frequently with USDA inspectors regarding product, employees, safety, etc.


• Ensure compliance to HACCP plan for all products


• Establish and maintain shelf-life requirements, finished product specifications, leaker testing, formulation weights, temperatures, and other necessary standards


• Coordinate and participate in product displays for tours and other events


• Direct, motivate, and monitor Q.A. employees. Conduct interviews and hire new employees; evaluate performance of current employees


• Conduct sampling of finished product and raw materials for bacteria


• Monitor and ensure proper procedures, safety, and cleanliness of production employees


• Ensure completion of all QA duties


• Test new equipment for quality aspects


• Perform other duties as assigned

Working Conditions:

Work 40+ hours per week in production areas. Exposed to all hazards present, including slippery floors, machinery, noise, extreme temperature variations, etc.
