Job summary

Transtex Composites is seeking a proven Quality Control Manager to lead the quality program at the Composites Manufacturing site. You will oversee all quality control activities on the production floor, mentor three QC staff, and partner with production supervisors to resolve defects and improve processes.

You will report to the VP Quality and apply structured problem-solving (8D, 5 Why, Fishbone) to root causes, implement corrective actions, and ensure ISO 9001-2015 standards are met while

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a quality control manager.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Strong problem-solving abilities.
• Familiarity with quality control procedures and root-cause analysis.

• Proficient with MS Office.
• Experience with ISO 9001-2015 is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Manage all manufacturing plant quality control activities.
• Spend significant time on the production floor with supervisors and engineers to resolve defects and reduce rejects.
• Conduct root cause investigations using structured methodologies (8D, 5 Why, Fishbone).
• Ensure corrective and containment actions are implemented and effective.
• Develop inspection plans and quality documentation for new products.
• Support PPAP processes and supplier quality requirements.
• Assist with customer complaints resolution.
• Maintain calibration for inspection and test equipment.

About the opportunity

We are looking for a proven Quality Control Manager to oversee the quality for our Composites Manufacturing site. To be successful as a Quality control Manager, you should be thorough and always available to assist when needed. Provide the leadership that sets the tone of how things should be done.You will report to our VP Quality, and your responsibilities will include:

• Manage all the manufacturing plant quality control activities.
• Spend significant time on the production floor working with production supervisors and Manufacturing engineer to resolve quality inconsistency issues and reduce rejects.
• Conduct root cause investigations using structured problem-solving methodologies (8D, 5 Why, Fishbone, etc.).
• Ensure the implementation of corrective and containment actions
• Ensure the effectiveness of corrective actions and recommend process improvements.
• Ensure the appropriate execution of all products quality inspections (Incoming, In-process, Final) per inspection plan.
• Supervise 3 quality control team members provide guidance and feedback.
• Monitor manufacturing audits and quality procedures execution to identify deviations.
• Develop inspection plans and quality documentation for new products.
• Support the creation of Quality control documents as forms, procedures, and supplier quality requirements.
• Assist with Production Part Approval Process (PPAP).
• Support the resolution of customer complaints.
• Contact Suppliers to share products nonconformities or potential improvements. Follow-up on their corrective actions.
• Ensure calibration requirements are maintained for inspection and test equipment.
• Cooperate with management to identify improvement opportunities and reduce non-quality costs.
