Job summary

Wollaston Alloys/CPP Boston in Braintree, MA seeks a Quality Control Supervisor to lead QC Inspectors and coordinate preventive quality actions. You will respond to customer inquiries, drive corrective actions and foster a relationship of confidence with customers through inspections and surveys.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's degree in a related field with 5+ years in a similar role, and knowledge of NDT methods.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role.
• Familiarity with the casting industry desirable.
• Strong communication skills required.
• NDT testing knowledge (VT/MT/PT/RT) preferred.

Responsibilities

Quality Control Supervisor (Braintree, MA)

Wollaston Alloys/CPP Boston is seeking a Quality Control Supervisor to join our team! This is an excellent opportunity to join a fast-paced company that has continued to grow over the past 60 years!

Responsibilities

• Supervise QC Inspectors
• Assign and distribute work
• Develop customer confidence internally and externally, by clear and expeditious response to customer queries and corrective action requests.
• Build an atmosphere of competence, cooperation and trust with customer representatives via Source Inspection and Supplier Product, Systems and Qualification Surveys.
• Take active participation in our Continuous Improvement efforts, promote quality excellence and encourage teamwork among ourselves and our customers.
• Stay abreast of technological advances and innovative analytical systems, which may be used to significantly reduce or eliminate wasteful, redundant operations.
• Forecast potential problem situations and suggest possible solutions.
• Be proactive, innovative, and creative using judgment and decision making in the implementation of necessary quality programs.
• Responsible for adherence to all safety policies, practices and procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in a related field
• 5+ years of work experience in a similar role
• Familiarity with the casting industry and related processes is desirable
• Strong NDT testing knowledge (VT, MT, PT, RT)
• Strong communication skills
• Program management skills
• Knowledge of Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing a plus
• Able to work independently with minimal directions

Pay starting at $75,000 USD/Year. This is a full time position.
