Consolidated Precision Products (CPP) Boston is seeking a Quality Control Inspector to join our team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment that has grown for over 60 years. Responsibilities include inspecting castings, performing tests, maintaining records, and preparing reports.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of related experience (at least 1 year in manufacturing).
• Comfortable utilizing various measuring tools.
• Ability to read blue prints.
• NDT inspection (VT, PT, MT) experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Inspect castings visually using measuring devices and prints.
• Perform coding, marking, and stamping for processing.
• Subject castings to testing methods as required (pressure, magnetic particle, bubble tests).
• Keep records as required.
• Prepare scrap, discrepancy, incoming material reports, and repair sketches.
• Provide information for scrap review by plant staff and Quality Control Manager.
• Conduct quality control audits as required.
• Ensure castings are properly marked and tested per standards/specifications.
• Straighten castings as required and prepare for X-ray.

Quality Control Inspector

Wollaston Alloys/CPP Boston is seeking a Quality Control Inspector to join our team! Responsibilities

• Inspect castings visually utilizing various measuring devices and prints as required.
• Perform various coding, marking, stamping for proper processing
• Subject castings to various testing methods as required (pressure testing, magnetic particle testing, bubble testing, etc.).
• Perform necessary record keeping duties as required.
• Prepare scrap reports, discrepancy reports, incoming material reports, draw castings repair sketches, etc.
• Prepare information for scrap review by plant staff and Quality Control Manager.
• Perform quality control audits as required.
• Ensure all castings are properly marked and tested in accordance to prescribed standards/ specifications.
• Straighten castings as required, prepare castings for X-ray.

About You
