Description

The Quality Control Specialist will build and maintain good working relationships with our building contractors and field supervisors, communicate concerns and issues effectively with installers, and ensure that we provide the highest quality of service to our new home builder clients while controlling costs. He or she works with subcontractors to maintain high-quality job standards, conduct field audits, and perform job site/safety inspections. He/She will be responsible for completing minor repairs on occasion. This role involves working with mobile technology such as a company-owned iPad and iPhone for reporting and communication purposes.

Candidates must have previous experience in wood, carpet, vinyl, or tile flooring. He or she must possess strong interpersonal skills and a talent for working with a variety of personalities. Good written communication skills, time management, professional dress, speech, and behavior are required. Verbal fluency in both English and Spanish is highly preferred but not mandatory. Local travel is required, with very little to no overnight travel expected. The candidate must have reliable transportation, as Quality Control Specialists are required to drive their own vehicle. A vehicle allowance and fuel card will be included in the compensation package.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work with subcontractors to maintain high-quality job standards
  • Conduct field audits and job site/safety inspections
  • Perform repairs onsite as necessary
  • Address customer concerns and issues, escalating them as needed for job completion and customer satisfaction
  • Respond to builder and/or post-sale customer concerns regarding warranty issues, repairs, and material or quality issues
  • Communicate with installers to ensure clear understanding of job specifications and installation requirements
  • Coordinate with account representatives to ensure complete and proper information for work assignments
  • Support our Hilton Head Location occasionally if required
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Experience with using iPhone and iPad

  • Able to bend, kneel, squat, stand, and lift heavy objects as needed
  • Must have a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report (MVR)
