Freenome in Brisbane, California is seeking a Quality Control Specialist II (Contractor) to support QC testing and documentation in a CLIA-capable lab. You’ll manage SOPs, assist with method transfer, and track QC trends onsite at our Brisbane headquarters.

The role emphasizes hands-on QC with automated liquid handlers, strict data integrity, and collaboration with the Lab Operations team. Contractors may work through a third-party provider.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (or Master’s) in chemistry, biochemistry, biology, or related field.
• Knowledge of QC/QA principles, including GMP/ISO.
• Technical writing experience with SOPs, Work Instructions, QC Records and Forms.
• Hands-on experience with automated liquid handlers (e.g., Hamilton, Bravo).

Responsibilities

• Perform reagent quality control testing per SOPs.
• Author, review, and maintain regulatory documentation.
• Initiate non-conformances for process deviations.
• Investigate reagent and consumable quality issues.
• Record, analyze, and trend QC data.
• Support tech transfer and validation of QC methods to GMP standards.
• Maintain knowledge of regulatory requirements in lab operations.
