Job summary

Bio-Rad Laboratories in Irvine, CA is seeking a Quality Control Specialist I to inspect and test biological raw materials and intermediates, document test results, and investigate out-of-spec results. You will enter data into ERP and LIMS, support testing improvements, and collaborate with multiple departments in a team environment.

The role requires a life science degree and 0–2 years of lab experience, with GMP/GDP experience considered a plus.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in life science or related field.
  • 0-2 years in a laboratory environment.
  • Experience with clinical laboratory techniques and instruments is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team to complete projects on time.
  • Good time management, organizational and analytical skills.
  • Experience with GMP/GDP.

  • Perform visual inspection per established procedures and complete documentation clearly and accurately.
  • Recognize and report out-of-spec or out-of-trend results to supervisor.
  • Enter results into ERP and LIMS as required.
  • Assist with testing improvements and changes within change management.
  • Follow GMP/GDP and work collaboratively with other departments.

Job description

As a Quality Control Specialist I, you will Inspect and test biological raw materials and manufactured intermediates by performing sampling, results review, and visual inspection per established procedures. Complete documentation clearly and accurately. Recognize and investigate out of specification or out of trend results and report to supervisor. Assist with testing improvements and changes within change management. Enter results into ERP system and Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) as required. Follow good laboratory practicies and procedures. Work in a team environment and interface with other departments as required.

Location: This position must be based in Irvine, California and requires the employee to be located within commuting distance of the office.

  • Experience with Good Manufacturing and Documentation Practices (GMP/GDP).

Compensation: The estimated base salary range for this position is $70,310 - $85,300 at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be provided in writing at the time of offer, if applicable, and is based on several factors we believe fairly and accurately impact compensation, including geographic location, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and other job permitted factors. This position is also eligible for a variable annual bonus, which is dependent upon achievement of your individual objectives and Company performance.
