Job summary

Job description

As a Production Chemist I, you will formulate products and intermediates utilizing biologicals and chemicals of varying properties and characteristics in order to meet specifications.

Location:

This position must be based inIrvine, Californiaand requires the employee to be located within commuting distance of the office.

How You'll Make An Impact:
  • Responsible for bulk formulating products of low to medium complexity including intermediates in accordance with approved written procedures and policies.
  • Perform data entry and inventory control utilizing the ERP database.
  • Responsible for completing production documentation and maintaining quality records to GDP/GMP standards.
  • Coordinate prioritize and plan lab tasks to meet strict deadlines.
  • Follows controlled Standard Operation Procedures/ documents.
  • Monitors manufacturing processes and performs adjustments when necessary to meet required yields.
What You Bring:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a life science or related field
  • 0-3 years working in a general manufacturing environment formulating products in the areas of biological sciences, life sciences, or an equivalent.
  • Ability to follow guidelines and handle hazardous materials safely.
  • Ability to work in a product team and make decision of limited scope, subject to review.
  • Able to follow detailed procedures and have good documentation skills. Understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices and Good Laboratory Practices.
  • Must be experienced in using ERP systems- SAP a plus.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools – Excel and Word.
  • Basic working knowledge of laboratory environments, materials, and equipment.

Compensation:

The estimated base salary range for this position is $70,310 to $85,300 annually, at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be provided in writing at the time of offer, if applicable, and is based on several factors we believe fairly and accurately impact compensation, including geographic location, experience, knowledge, skills,abilities, and other job permitted factors. This position is eligible for a variable annual bonus, which is dependent upon achievement of your individual objectives and Company performance.
