Freenome in Brisbane, California is seeking a Quality Control Specialist I to grow the Lab Operations QC team. The role focuses on NGS workflows within a CLIA setting, performing reagent QC testing and maintaining critical documentation.

You will trend QC data, support method transfer to GMP standards, and ensure regulatory requirements are met while contributing to life-saving cancer diagnostics development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant science field.
• Ability to follow written procedures in a regulated environment.
• Accurate, timely documentation to maintain regulatory compliance.
• Strong attention to detail and time management.
• Excellent interpersonal and cross-functional communication.

Responsibilities

• Perform reagent QC testing per SOPs.
• Author, review, and maintain documentation (SOPs, WI, QC records).
• Initiate non-conformances for deviations or QC failures.
• Investigate reagent and consumable quality issues.
• Record, analyze, and trend QC data using good documentation practices.
• Support tech transfer and validation of QC methods to GMP.
• Maintain knowledge of regulatory requirements for QC in lab ops.
