Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and an associate degree in science or related discipline, or two years of related experience.
• Six months experience with SAP and/or another ERP system preferred.
• Able to perform all elements of job demand analysis for position.

Responsibilities

• Conduct inspections of incoming raw materials.
• Perform intermediate and finished product testing per work instructions and methods.
• Develop lab blends for color matching and trial batches.
• Approve material meeting requirements; escalate questionable items.
• Verify materials meet quality specs and customer requirements.
• Manage retained samples and ensure paperwork accuracy daily.
• Calibrate laboratory and plant equipment; maintain QC instruments.
• Enter inspection, calibration and sample results in ERP systems.
• Data entry to update material test results and release materials.
• Collaborate with Technical Services/Production to resolve issues.
• Use email to communicate with colleagues, customers and departments.
• Must discern color and brilliance as confirmed by color vision test.
• Perform algebraic calculations and analyze data.
• Demonstrate strong communication and independent decision-making.
• Maintain organized, detail-oriented workspace; multitask and prioritize.
• Adapt between labs and hours as needed; use MS Word/Excel.
• Perform filing and other administrative duties; keep lab areas clean.
• Other duties as assigned.
