Job summary

Oldcastle BuildingEnvelope in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Production Worker to handle glass pieces and move them through cutting, tempering and laminating processes. You will off-load and load from tables, racks, and crates with strong attention to safety, quality, and efficiency, while contributing to a collaborative production team.

You will read basic measurements, use a tape measure, and rotate tasks across departments to support continuous workflow and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Commitment to safety policies and procedures.
• Ability to read, understand and communicate.
• Willingness to work overtime when required.
• Regular and predictable attendance.

Responsibilities

• On/off-loading glass products from tables, racks and crates for 10+ hours.
• Read and interpret basic mathematical measurements while effectively using a tape measure.
• Transport materials including glass to different positions to expedite production.
• Quality inspection, operating equipment, and/or manually maneuvering equipment.
• Perform different job functions on a rotating basis across departments.

What You’ll Get to Do

The Production Worker is focused on handling glass pieces and rotating them through various phases of cutting, tempering, and laminating processes. This includes on/off-loading from tables, rolling racks, or wooden crates and reports to the Production Supervisor. This role is perfect for an individual with a strong attention to detail particularly in areas of safety, quality, and efficiency, strong work ethic and the ability to work well in a team environment. A vital member of the Production Team, this is an opportunity to build a career with an industry leader. Job responsibilities include:

• On/off-loading glass product from tables, rolling racks and wood crates for 10 or more hours
• Ability to read and interpret basic mathematical measurements while effectively using a tape measure
• Transport of materials including glass from one position/location to another to expedite the production process
• Quality inspection, operating equipment, and/or manually maneuvering equipment
• Perform different job functions on a rotating basis across different departments
