Quality Control Specialist

Role Summary

Our client is seeking a Quality Specialist to join their rapidly growing team. The Quality Control Specialist is responsible for ensuring that products, processes, and services meet established quality standards. This role involves conducting inspections, tests, audits, analyzing data, identifying defects or areas for improvement, and implementing corrective actions. The specialist collaborates with various departments to maintain and enhance quality standards throughout the production process.

Key Results Area

  1. Conduct inspections and tests on products, components, and materials at various production stages to ensure compliance with specifications and quality requirements.
  2. Collect and analyze data from inspections, tests, and audits to identify trends, patterns, and potential issues.
  3. Identify and document defects, non-conformances, or deviations from quality standards.
  4. Implement corrective and preventive actions to address quality issues and prevent recurrence.
  5. Contribute to continuous improvement of quality processes by identifying and applying enhancements.
  6. Collaborate with departments such as production, engineering, and customer service to uphold quality standards organization-wide.
  7. Maintain accurate records of inspections, tests, audits, and corrective actions.
  8. Provide training and guidance to employees on quality standards, procedures, and best practices.
  9. Perform additional responsibilities as needed to support the team’s success.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in quality management, applied engineering, technology systems, or related field (preferred).
  • At least 2 years of experience in quality control or related roles.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify root causes and implement solutions.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills for stakeholder collaboration.
  • Familiarity with quality management systems and standards like ISO 9001:2015 is advantageous.
  • Experience with statistical process control and data analysis tools.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant software applications.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and standards.
  • Excellent attention to detail, especially in fast-paced environments.
  • Knowledge of quality control tools and methodologies.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and high-quality standards.
