Job description

Quality Control Specialist

SEACORP is seeking a well-qualified Quality Control Specialist to ensure that products and services meet established quality standards through rigorous inspection, testing, and process monitoring. The successful candidate will support production efforts for numerous large prime contractors in the Department of Defense arena, helping develop and refine existing quality processes and procedures across the entire production lifecycle, including receipt, in-process, and outgoing inspections.

Job Responsibilities
  • Conduct receipt, in-process, and outgoing inspections to ensure all deliverables meet internal and customer standards.
  • Verify that all fabricated metal items are produced in strict accordance with current drawing specifications.
  • Document all inspection findings and test results with high precision to maintain comprehensive quality records.
  • Work closely with project leads, engineers, and technicians to establish appropriate inspection stop points and levels of oversight.
  • Manage all quality Objective Quality Evidence (OQE), Return Material Authorizations (RMAs), and SEACORP-generated Certificates of Conformance (C-of-Cs).
  • Analyze quality data to identify trends, process gaps, or areas for continuous improvement.
  • Manage or assist in the calibration tracking and maintenance of over 100 pieces of specialized test equipment.
  • Assist in the development and refinement of standard operating procedures (SOPs) to enhance existing quality frameworks.
Qualifications
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED.
  • Experience: 3 years of relevant experience.
  • U.S. Citizenship required.
Location & Travel

Location: Groton, CT. Travel: Infrequently (<3 annually).

Work Environment & Physical Demands

Office & Computer Laboratories – sitting, standing, extended periods of time using a mouse and keyboard and viewing computer screens. Infrequent lifting of ≤40 lbs. Movement between points within the same office or between buildings. Work performed in generally consistent environmental conditions with some seasonality for temperature differences and lighting.
