Job summary

LGC Biosearch Technologies, based in Middleton, WI, is seeking an Associate Quality Control (QC) Scientist to ensure QA standards across microbiological, sequencing, and biologics processes. You will work with QC teams to support QMS, new product development, and process improvement.

Responsibilities include executing approved workflows, data analysis, SOP adherence, and collaboration with HR, manufacturing, and operations to drive a culture of ownership and accountability.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in an applicable life sciences field (molecular biology, microbiology, biochemistry, etc.) or equivalent
• Prior success serving on operationally oriented or technical teams
• Proven ability to perform standard biological laboratory techniques in support of Next Gen sequencing workflows such as PCR, liquid handling machines etc.

Responsibilities

• Independently perform operational workflows following approved documentation using standard microbiology, analytical chemistry and aseptic techniques
• Process, record and analyze data following approved test methods and work instructions
• Support QC group operations in maintaining safety, speed, quality, cost, and equipment
• Support organization’s commercial and development activities while ensuring compliance with quality and regulatory standards
• Identify assay and process improvement opportunities from observation and data review
• Maintain training requirements and execute on goal setting linked to business initiatives
• Support continuous improvement projects and lean manufacturing initiatives
• Adhere to PPE policy and perform other duties as assigned by management
