Shift/Hours: Full-Time
Hours: Monday – Friday 7:00a – 3:30p
Location: Boonville, MO (onsite)
Department: Quality Control
Reports To: Department Head

Job Summary

The Quality Control Associate provides essential support in inventory management, incoming shipment verification, and product quality inspection within a manufacturing environment. This role ensures materials and finished components meet company quality standards and inventory accuracy requirements.

This position is ideal for a detail-oriented individual who thrives in a fast-paced production setting and is eager to grow professionally. On-the-job training is provided.

Key Responsibilities
Receiving & Inventory Control
  • Verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and invoices.
  • Inspect deliveries to ensure accuracy, completeness, and condition.
  • Update inventory systems with received materials.
  • Organize and store received items in designated locations.
  • Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records through cycle counts and audits.
  • Support inventory replenishment coordination with other departments.
  • Compile basic inventory data and assist with reporting.
  • Identify discrepancies and take initiative to resolve issues.
Quality Inspection & Assurance
  • Perform visual and physical inspections of incoming and in-process parts.
  • Conduct gauging and measurement operations to verify specifications.
  • Interpret blueprints, sketches, drawings, and technical specifications.
  • Use inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, and Keyence measuring equipment.
  • Document inspection results and report quality issues promptly.
  • Follow documented quality control procedures and standards.
  • Support corrective actions and process improvements.
Production & Operational Support
  • Perform light production work and minor modifications as needed.
  • Assist with process improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain work area organization and cleanliness.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and leadership.
Essential Skills & Qualifications
Education & Experience

Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous manufacturing or assembly experience.
  • Familiarity with inventory management systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, email, and basic computer systems.
  • Experience reading blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Experience using inspection tools (calipers, micrometers, Keyence systems).
  • Basic understanding of quality control principles.
Requirements
  • Must be a US Citizen (ITAR requirements)
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Ability to meet pre-employment screening requirements.
  • Satisfactorily complete the 90-day probationary period.
  • Willingness to follow all safety, quality and manufacturing procedures.

Working & Physical Requirements
  • This job is operated in a climate-controlled manufacturing environment.
  • Frequent standing (60%+ of shift).
  • Regular lifting, carrying, bending, and moving materials (up to 45–60 lbs).
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks.
  • Cognitive reasoning to follow production work instructions.
  • Visual acuity for detailed part inspection.
  • Fast-paced setting with multiple priorities.
  • The duties of this job normally require exposure to a typical manufacturing environment. Frequent standing, sitting, stooping/squatting, walking, and stair climbing can be expected along with frequent lifting and/or moving of tooling, parts containers, and materials up to 40 pounds.
  • Must be able to reach with hands and arms, bend and kneel frequently at a minimum of 50% of the shift, as well as undergo repetitive wrist, hand, elbow, shoulder, and ankle motions.
  • Must demonstrate proficient fine motor skills, ability to grip, reach, pull, turn, and use tools to torque fixtures in various machinery or in the assembly, machining, or testing of parts.
  • Specific vision abilities required may include close vision, distance vision, peripheral and depth perception, color vision, and the ability to focus on fine print.
  • You must wear the required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) where required.
