Overview
Job Summary:
Responsible for performing Pre-funding loan quality control functions within the company including continued QC auditor training, overseeing & assisting the QC Manager with Branch email communication and escalations & ensuring the QC Pre-Funding Team is organized and runs smoothly. Routinely will audit loans selected for Pre-funding audit and 2nd reviews. The duties for Quality Control Pre-funding Team Lead include, but are not limited to, those described below.
Essential Job Functions:
- Remote Position and will be required to work Pacific Standard Hours (8 AM to 4:30 PM)
- Confidentiality: Maintains high level of confidentiality.
- Communication: Heavy interaction with QC Manager, QC Staff, Operations, vendors, borrowers.
- Organization: Maintains orderly workspace for the QC Auditors including accuracy with all internal and external communication.
- Equipment: Uses such office equipment as computer terminals.
- Physical: Sits for extended time periods. Hearing and vision within normal ranges.
Responsibilities
- Handle Operation’s email communication and escalations
- Handle QC auditor’s escalations
- QC Reporting Assistance
- QC Auditor continued training when applicable
- Handle QC Auditor/QC Assistant procedure/guideline questions
- QC Log Specialist coverage
- Ensure the QC Pre-Funding Team is running smoothly and is organized
- Assist QC Manager with Greenshades duties when needed
- Assist QC Manager with creating and maintaining procedures as directed
- Assist QC Manager with QC Software tasks/projects
- Approving Rush Requests from Ops Team
- Back up QC Auditor when needed along with completing 2nd reviews
- Quality Assurance
- Assist Manager with various duties/projects
Qualifications
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of Quality Control experience within the Mortgage Industry or,
- Minimum of 5 years of Mortgage Underwriting all loan types (FHA, VA, USDA, Conventional) or,
- Minimum of 2 years as a Quality Control Team Lead or Supervisor/Manager role
Skills:
- Knowledge with all Agency Guidelines and how to obtain them (FHA, VA, Fannie Mae & Freddie Mac, USDA, etc).
- Detail oriented with strong organizational and follow-up skills.
- Strong analytical and written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work with limited supervision.
- Technologically proficient in various software applications.
- Advanced MS Excel experience is a must.
- MS Word/Outlook/PowerPoint skills.
Education:
- Highschool Diploma or equivalent
- College degree helpful but not required
