We’re looking to hire two experienced Quality Control Managers to take ownership of quality assurance on rooftop solar projects based in Upstate New York. In this role, you'll be key to upholding the company's quality benchmarks, leading inspections, and supporting site teams by ensuring that work is delivered to the highest standards.

Your Role:

• Oversee quality control activities throughout every phase of construction, using a structured three-step inspection system.

• Carry out daily checks on solar installations, covering roofing protection, racking systems, DC/AC wiring, and inverter setups.

• Make sure all work aligns with project plans, technical specifications, and (where required) Army Corps of Engineers quality standards.

• Quickly flag and document any discrepancies using Procore (or similar software) and report them to site management.

• Keep up-to-date as-built records and deliver clear, professional weekly reports to leadership.

• Review plans across electrical, structural, and civil scopes to verify work is built right the first time.

• Coach field crews on best practices, correct installation techniques, and project-specific quality expectations.

• Manage punch lists, organize completion timelines, and confirm corrections with thorough documentation and photos.

• Stay informed on product manuals to ensure installations follow manufacturers’ guidelines.

• Perform hands-on tasks when necessary, such as climbing stairs or ladders, lifting up to 50 lbs, and working in diverse site conditions.

What We’re Looking For:

• 4+ years of experience in commercial solar construction — rooftop project experience is ideal.

• Background in quality control or quality assurance within the solar or broader construction industry.

• Familiarity with Army Corps of Engineers quality standards is a plus.

• Confident reading and understanding electrical plans, as well as structural and civil drawings.

• OSHA 30 certification is a must.

• High attention to detail and a passion for delivering flawless results.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce well-structured reports.

• Comfortable using project management software (Procore preferred).

• Electrical experience is beneficial but not mandatory.
