Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Quality Control Manager / Safety Officer in Virginia Beach to lead QA/QC programs and safety initiatives on government construction projects. You will oversee project lifecycles, direct engineers and superintendents, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

You will collaborate with NAVFAC/Army Corps, conduct risk assessments, and implement robust safety audits and investigations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in commercial construction project management, preferably government.
• Experience working with NAVFAC and/or Army Corps.
• Knowledge of construction safety regulations, OSHA 10/30.
• Experience conducting safety audits, job hazard analyses and incident investigations.
• Strong skills in risk management and quality control.
• Excellent communication skills with stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in project management software and MS Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all stages of project life cycle including quality control, budgeting, scheduling, and procurement.
• Direct and supervise project administration, superintendents, and engineers to set priorities.
• Coordinate with NAVFAC and Army Corps to meet government standards and regulations.
• Develop and implement project risk management plans and mitigation strategies.
• Conduct safety audits, hazard analyses, and investigations to ensure OSHA compliance.
• Develop and enforce QA/QC plans to ensure quality across activities.
• Maintain communication with contractors, construction managers, and government reps.
• Ensure compliance with laws and environmental health and safety regulations.
