Weil Construction, Inc. is seeking a on-site Quality Control Manager for Federal Construction Projects in Fort Worth, TX. You will develop QC plans, perform inspections and tests, and ensure compliance with contract requirements and government standards.

This role requires coordinating with owners, design teams, and subcontractors, maintaining reports and logs, and supporting safety programs. Strong knowledge of USACE/NAVFAC QC is preferred.

Role Description

The Quality Control Manager on Federal Construction Projects is a full-time, on-site role based in Fort Worth, TX. This position oversees quality control activities on federal construction projects, ensuring all work complies with contract requirements, applicable codes, and government standards. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing and implementing project-specific quality control plans, conducting inspections and tests, documenting results, and coordinating corrective actions with project managers, superintendents, and subcontractors. The role involves preparing and maintaining quality-related reports, participating in meetings with owners and government representatives, and monitoring construction processes to prevent defects and rework. The Quality Control Manager also supports site safety practices, ensures proper documentation and submittals, and contributes to continuous improvement of quality procedures.

Qualifications
  • Experience with federal construction projects, including familiarity with USACE, NAVFAC, or other federal agency quality requirements.
  • Strong skills in construction quality control, including inspections, testing oversight, and implementation of quality control plans.
  • Knowledge of construction methods, materials, codes, and regulations relevant to federal and commercial projects.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and contract documents and translate them into quality requirements on site.
  • Proficiency in documentation and reporting, including daily quality reports, deficiency logs, submittal reviews, and punch lists.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with owners, design teams, field staff, and subcontractors.
  • Organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple tasks, prioritize inspections, and meet project deadlines.
  • Experience with construction management or project management software and basic office applications (e.g., Word, Excel, email).
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety, with the ability to support and reinforce site safety programs and compliance.
  • Relevant education or training in construction management, engineering, or a related field; industry certifications (e.g., CQM, OSHA 30) are highly beneficial.
