Highland Consulting Group is recruiting a Quality Control professional for a Mechanical Contractor serving the Baltimore, MD - Washington DC Metro area. The role focuses on quality control for piping, plumbing and HVAC projects and requires a proven track record on large mechanical builds.

You will collaborate with owners, GCs, and subcontractors to maintain project standards, prepare daily reports, and drive issue resolution. On-site travel and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience with Mechanical (Piping, Plumbing & HVAC) projects over $1 Million in value.
• Documented quality control success on mechanical projects.
• Experience with Commercial, Institutional, or Federal projects.

Responsibilities

• Work with the owner and general contractor on quality control issues.
• Improve the billing and inspection process.
• Manage Quality Control program for piping, plumbing & HVAC projects.
• Perform routine inspections to ensure project specs are met by crews and subs.
• Prepare daily progress & status reports.
• Coordinate QC walk through with Inspectors.
• Assist Project Manager to close open punch list items.
• Travel to projects as needed on-site.

We are working with a Mechanical Contractor in the Baltimore, MD - Washington DC Metro area, that is recruiting an experienced Quality Control individual. Job responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Work with the owner and general contractor on quality control issues.
• Work to improve the billing and inspection process.
• Manage Quality Control program for specific Piping, Plumbing & HVAC projects.
• Perform routine inspections to ensure that the project specifications are met by the crew and subcontractors.
• Prepare daily progress & status reports.

• Travel to projects as needed.
• Be on-site to implement the QC plans.

Job Requirements

• Solid, proven and verifiable record of career stability and quality control success is a must
• Mechanical, Plumbing, HVAC experience
• Prepare daily Quality Control reports
• Must be an idea person with a passion to improve the process.
• Ability to establish timelines.
• Interface with the Owner, General Contractor, and Subcontractors on all projects assigned
• Solid communication skills - both verbal and written
• Ability to multi-task
• Ability to lead productive, multi-discipline meetings
• Experience: 3 years’ experience with Mechanical (Piping, Plumbing & HVAC) projects over $1 Million in value
