Job summary

System One is seeking a QA/QC Manager in Halethorpe, MD to lead field inspections and ensure compliance with contract documents. The role focuses on daily checks of piping and equipment, overseeing site inspections, and documenting test results.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with visual, dimensional, and mechanical inspections in industrial environments, with strong attention to detail and robust documentation practices. Onsite work schedule is 40 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Experience performing visual, dimensional, and mechanical inspections in industrial or construction environments.
• Knowledge of inspection and test plans, NCR procedures, and quality documentation processes.
• Ability to work on-site and conduct field inspections effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily visual, dimensional, and mechanical field checks on piping and equipment to ensure contract conformance.
• Execute and oversee site inspections according to the contract documents.
• Inspect incoming mechanical equipment, valves, and piping against submittals, MTRs, and packing lists.
• Witness and document pressure tests (hydrostatic or pneumatic) of piping systems.
• Identify, document, and track deviations or defects, issuing NCRs and coordinating corrective actions.
• Maintain daily quality logs, as-built markup records, and project turnover packages for the client.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily visual, dimensional, and mechanical field checks on piping & equipment to ensure the work is in strict accordance with the contract documents
• Execute/Oversee site inspections according to the contract documents
• Inspect incoming mechanical equipment, valves, and piping components against approved submittals, mill test reports (MTRs), and packing lists
• Witness and document pressure tests, such as hydrostatic or pneumatic testing of piping systems
• Identify, document, and track work deviations or defects, issuing NCRs and working with field superintendents on corrective actions
• Maintain daily quality logs, as-built markup records, and project turnover packages for the client

Requirements
