Job summary

You will oversee QC activities, document discrepancies, and coordinate with engineering, sales, and production to align schedules and quality goals.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent required.
• BS/BA preferred in engineering, supply chain, or manufacturing.
• 3–5 years of quality control experience.
• 5+ years of progressive management experience preferred.
• CWI certification required or preferred.
• ASNT Level II/III certifications preferred.
• Knowledge of AISC/ISO certification programs preferred.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and manufacturing software.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a positive work environment by behaving and communicating professionally with customers, co-workers, clients, and supervisors.
• Manages direct reports through coaching and supporting their training, development, and productivity.
• Develops and maintains good relationships with customers; coordinates activities with drafting/engineering, sales and estimating, shipping and production departments to determine project schedules.
• Plans and formulates inspection plans; directs activities for assigned work unit to ensure compliance with contractual requirements; determines work schedules, priorities and assignments.
• Determines quality assurance methodology and techniques to be used in inspecting and testing systems or materials.
• Conducts quality assurance audits and prepares reports to document findings.
• Coordinates with other work units to accomplish assigned work.
• Advises other managers on status of work; interfaces with customers, contractors and suppliers.
• Reviews and recommends changes and/or resolves technical problems.
• Provides technical and operation support to ensure quality assurance standards are met in projects; develops reports and corrective actions.
