Job summary

Tiello is seeking a Quality Control Manager for heavy civil construction projects in Phoenix, AZ. The ideal candidate has 5 years of experience leading QC efforts in underground utilities and related civil work, with a degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years leading quality control efforts in Underground Utilities, Wet Utilities, Earthworks or Heavy Civil projects.
• Experience with Underground Utilities, Wet Utilities, Heavy Civil projects such as Sewer/Storm/Water.
• Degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering preferred, or equivalent field experience.
• CQCM certification preferred.
• OSHA 30 required.
• First Aid/CPR Certified.
• Understanding of local County and Federal rules & regulations.

Responsibilities

• Perform all essential Quality Control Manager duties on assigned projects.
• Develop and maintain the Quality Control Program for the Company.
• Keep as-built records and project deliverables up to date.
• Work with the Superintendent to develop and implement safety plans.
• Keep QC daily reports current and accurate.
• Maintain good relationships with on-site personnel.
• Set up and oversee tests and inspections.
• Mentor project staff to foster a positive team environment.

Company Overview:

Tiello is partnered with a highly regarded Speciality Underground Utility Contractor based in Phoenix, AZ , in their search for a Quality Control Manager (Heavy Civil Construction).

Role Summary:

The ideal candidate will have 5 years of experience as a Quality Control Manager in the Underground Utility, Civil, or Heavy Civil Construction Industry and will be responsible for helping leading successful large and small, public and private Underground Utility Construction projects.

Job Responsibilities:

• Able to perform all essential Quality Control Manager job responsibilities
• Play a major role in developing the Quality Control Program for the Company
• Keep as-built records
• Manage project deliverables
• Work with Superintendent to develop safety plans and to implement safety procedures
• Keep up to date QC daily reports
• Develop and maintain a good relationship with all on-site employees
• Set up and see-through all tests and inspections
• Oversee and mentor the project staff to foster a positive team setting

Qualifications/Requirements:

• 5 years helping lead quality control efforts for reputable Underground Utilities, Wet Utilities, Earthworks, or Heavy Civil contractors
• Experience with Projects focused on Underground Utilities, Wet Utilities, Heavy Civil Projects, Sewer, Storm, Water, Earthworks, Excavations
• Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related preferred, or equivalent field experience.
• CQCM Certification preferred
• First Aid/CPR Certified
• OSHA 30
• Understanding of local County and Federal Rules & Regulations
