Job summary

Tiello is seeking a Quality Control Manager for heavy civil construction projects in Phoenix, AZ. The role focuses on leading QC efforts for underground utility projects and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of QC leadership experience in underground utilities or heavy civil construction, with a track record of developing and maintaining robust QC programs and daily reporting.

Qualifications

• 5+ years leading quality control for Underground Utilities, Wet Utilities, Earthworks or Heavy Civil contractors.
• Experience with Underground Utilities, Wet Utilities, Heavy Civil Projects (Sewer, Storm, Water, Earthworks).
• Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead the Quality Control Program for the company.
• Keep as-built records and manage project deliverables.
• Collaborate with the Superintendent to develop and implement safety plans and procedures.
• Maintain QC daily reports and ensure tests and inspections are completed.
• Mentor project staff to foster a positive team environment.

Tiello is partnered with a highly regarded Speciality Underground Utility Contractor based inPhoenix, AZ, in their search for a Quality Control Manager (Heavy Civil Construction).

Role Summary:

The ideal candidate will have5+ yearsof experience as aQuality Control Managerinthe Underground Utility, Civil, or Heavy Civil Construction Industryand will be responsible for helpingleading successful large and small, public and private Underground Utility Construction projects.

Underground Utility, Water Line, Storm Drain, Sewer, CMAR, JOC

Job Responsibilities:

• Able to perform all essential Quality Control Manager job responsibilities
• Play a major role in developing the Quality Control Program for the Company
• Keep as-built records
• Manage project deliverables
• Work with Superintendent to develop safety plans and to implement safety procedures
• Keep up to date QC daily reports
• Develop and maintain a good relationship with all on-site employees
• Set up and see-through all tests and inspections
• Oversee and mentor the project staff to foster a positive team setting

Qualifications/Requirements:

• 5+ years helping lead quality control efforts for reputable Underground Utilities, Wet Utilities, Earthworks, or Heavy Civil contractors
• Experience with Projects focused on Underground Utilities, Wet Utilities, Heavy Civil Projects, Sewer, Storm, Water, Earthworks, Excavations
• Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related preferred, or equivalent field experience.
• CQCM Certification preferred
• First Aid/CPR Certified
• OSHA 30
• Understanding of local County and Federal Rules & Regulations
