Quality Control Manager/Representative


McMillen, Inc. is seeking a Quality Control Manager/Representative with heavy civil construction experience. Our regional office is located in Dallas, TX, but this person will be working on a construction project site in Topock, AZ. The Quality Control Manager/Representative is responsible for the implementation and management of the Contractor's and/or Client's Quality Control Program, including the coordination, performance and execution of construction inspection and testing services. The QC Manager is responsible for assuring that the quality of the work meets or exceeds the project's contractual requirements, and maintains the standard of excellence established by the firm.


Responsibilities:



  • Develop and implement Quality Control practices and procedures

  • Ensure all work is in conformance with the contractual requirements

  • Verify all material incorporated into the project conforms to all submittals, project specifications and drawings

  • Understand and execute the required testing procedures in conformance with the contract documents and industry standards

  • Create/Prepare outgoing correspondence to the clients, subcontractors, and other outside entities, ensuring accuracy, quality and professionalism of work.

  • Monitor, document and track all Quality Control documents including but not limited to Quality Control Daily Reports, Testing and Inspection Reports, Preparatory/Initial Meetings, and other project specific document management/tracking requirements.

  • Review all special inspection and material testing performed by third parties


Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree is highly desired in the related fields of Construction Management or Engineering.

  • Minimum of 5 years' heavy civil experience in a Quality Control capacity.

  • Previous USACE experience a plus.

  • USACE CQCM certification or the ability to attain one.

  • OSHA 30 preferred.


Compensation Package:



  • Pay Range: $97,000 - $122,000(DOE)

  • Benefits: McMillen provides a full Benefits Program comprising medical, dental, vision, life, disability, FSA, EAP, 401(k) and match, 9 paid holidays, generous PTO, opportunity for stock ownership, and wellness reimbursement. Quality Control Manager assigned to projects more than 70 miles from their residence are eligible for subsistence and home leave benefits. We also offer a company truck or vehicle allowance, along with mobile phone options.
