Job summary

LHH is conducting a confidential search for an experienced Quality Control Manager to lead quality inspection operations for a manufacturing organization in the Westmont, IL area. This onsite role oversees day-to-day QA inspections, ensuring processes meet quality standards, customer expectations, production schedules, and regulatory requirements.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of supervisory experience and strong GD&T knowledge, with 5+ years in QC/inspection.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of supervisory experience in manufacturing quality control.
• 5+ years of progressive Quality Control/Inspection experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong working knowledge of GD&T and ASME Y14.5.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Aerospace & Defense industry experience is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead Quality Inspection operations and personnel
• Manage inspection planning and scheduling to support manufacturing and on-time delivery
• Maintain compliance with the Quality Management System (QMS)
• Oversee non-conforming material and reporting processes
• Own calibration processes and outcomes
• Monitor quality KPIs and implement corrective actions
• Partner closely with Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain, Program Management, and other departments

Job description

We are conducting a confidential search for an experienced Quality Control Manager to lead quality inspection operations for a manufacturing organization in the Westmont, IL area.

This individual will oversee day-to-day Quality Assurance Inspection activities, ensuring inspection processes meet established quality standards, customer expectations, production schedules, and regulatory requirements. The role will also lead quality initiatives related to corrective actions, calibration, non-conforming materials, and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate must have 3+ years of leadership experience and strong working knowledge of GD&T.

This role is onsite in the Chicagoland area. Relocation assistance is available for candidates living outside of the area.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead Quality Inspection operations and personnel
• Manage inspection planning and scheduling to support manufacturing and on-time delivery

• $120K up to $138K base + bonus opportunity
