Sauer is seeking a Construction Quality Manager to lead the CQC plan for a project at Norfolk Naval Station. You will oversee all QC matters with full authority, coordinating with subcontractors and managing inspections.

The role requires DoD project experience, CQC certification, and strong communication skills to ensure compliance and timely delivery of high-end renovations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management or engineering.
• 5 years of DoD experience on projects >$10M.
• USACE Construction Quality Management certification.
• OSHA 30-hour construction certification.
• Knowledge of QC inspection standards, procedures and codes.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

Position Summary:

Person will be responsible for taking full control of CQC plan for Sauer on a project at the Norfolk Naval Station VA. Person will be responsible for overall management of the CQC plan and having full authority to act in all QC matters.

Essential Functions:

• Capable of coordinating with many Subcontractors
• Efficient/Able to plan days, weeks in advance
• Detail driven
• Skillful communicator with client/subcontractors
• Able to conduct QCM weekly meeting in a highly professional manner and instill confidence in client in the QC operations
• Perform/coordinate inspections
• Upload and manage QC data on a daily basis
• Experience with high end renovations
• Perform submittal review functions
• Proficient completing required daily documentation

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in construction management or engineering
• Candidate must have 5 years’ DOD experience with projects larger than 10 million with
• strong administrate experience.
• Certificate for “Construction Quality Management for Contractors” from USACE
• 30 Hour OSHA in construction
• Excellent knowledge of quality control inspection standards, procedures and applicable codes required
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
