Job summary

J&J Worldwide Services in Killeen, TX is seeking a Quality Control Manager responsible for maintaining and overseeing the contractor’s quality control management program across the O&M contract.

You will administer the QA program, monitor deliveries for compliance, maintain inspection records, and prepare monthly reports. The role requires 5+ years in QMS, OSHA knowledge, and strong communication; a safety-focused mindset is essential.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s Degree in Safety Management, Business Management or related field; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in preparing and enforcing quality management programs (QMS) on contracts of similar size, scope and complexity.
  • Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations and PPE procedures.
  • Ability to conduct accident investigations and safety inspections.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Collect data for the DMLSS system including work orders and equipment history.
  • Research safety and quality topics online.
  • May prepare incident and accident reports.
  • May be tasked with preparing training materials and conducting employee safety meetings.
  • May manage the disposal of hazardous waste.
  • May research and issue infection control and interim Life Safety permits.
  • May train personnel on material control and equipment and tool management.
  • Other duties as assigned

General Summary

Knowledge, Experience and Skill Requirements
  • Associate’s Degree in Safety Management, Business Management or a related field, Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in preparing and enforcing quality management programs (QMS) on contracts of similar size, scope and complexity
  • Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations and PPE procedures

  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Works in office areas as well as throughout the facility.
  • Physical demands include intermittent sitting, standing, and walking, and occasional bending reaching and lifting.
  • Limited exposure to elements such as heat, cold, noise, dust, dirt, chemicals, etc. but generally not to the point of being disagreeable.
