Job Overview: A Quality Control Manager ensures products or services consistently meet predefined quality standards to meet ISO 9001:2015. Develop and implement quality control procedures, inspect products, identify areas for improvement, and conduct quarterly audits. Train staff, coach and develop the quality team, analyze data, operate, and maintain controlled equipment, and ensure compliance with industry regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement quality control procedures, including creating quality control plans, establishing standards, work instructions, forms, and defining inspection methods to ensure regulatory compliance and customer satisfaction.
- Manage the inspection and testing of products or services by evaluating products at various stages of production to ensure they meet quality requirements based on service agreements. Propose corrective actions to improve compliance with quality standards.
- Recommend new or improved quality control methods, procedures, and standards.
- Analyze and track data for reporting, identify trends, root causes of quality concerns, preventive measures, and areas for improvement. Keep the Quality Control Manager informed of trends, concerns, and improvement recommendations in a timely manner.
- Hire, train, and lead the quality control team, ensuring understanding and adherence to quality procedures. Supervise mock and inspector audits, hold the team accountable for meeting milestones and goals, and managing budgets.
- Collaborate with production, engineering, leadership, and purchasing departments to address quality issues. Handle nonconformity and corrective action processes.
- Ensure compliance by staying up-to-date with industry regulations, customer requirements, and certifications.
- Identify opportunities for process optimization, manage ISO 9001:2015 requirements, and update forms in SharePoint.
- Coordinate and execute PPAPs, PFMEAs, and compliance reporting. Lead management review meetings and oversee new facility openings with ISO certification goals.
- Work with vendors and customers as appropriate.

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in quality engineering, assurance, business, computer science, industrial or manufacturing engineering, or related fields is preferred, but 7+ years of applicable experience may substitute for formal education.
- Experience leading Quality Control in manufacturing environments with ISO 9001:2015 is required.
- Lean or Six Sigma certification and at least three years of supervisory experience are preferred.
- Advanced knowledge of SharePoint and Microsoft 365 suite, with proficiency in Microsoft Teams for communication and collaboration.
- Extensive knowledge of quality control processes across manufacturing, aerospace, defense, construction, agriculture, energy, utilities, transportation, and chemicals sectors.
Work Environment:
- Work may occur in manufacturing, office, retail, or laboratory environments.
- Manufacturing and laboratory environments require PPE such as eye protection, face shields, gloves, masks, and closed-toe shoes. These environments may be warm or cool depending on the season and facility.
- Office and retail spaces are climate-controlled based on seasonal conditions.
