Job summary

DuBose National Energy seeks a Quality Control (QC) Manager at the Cleveland, Ohio location to lead the QC team and coordinate inspection activities across production lines. The role requires directing all inspection and testing, interpreting specifications, and driving continuous improvement while ensuring compliance with quality standards and safety guidelines.

You will collaborate with engineering and manufacturing, review NCRs, and oversee calibration of measuring equipment.

Qualifications

  • Detail-oriented with strong quality standards adherence.
  • Must lead, train, and mentor QC technicians.
  • Experience with inspection methods and GD&T concepts.
  • Able to read engineering drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the QC team and manage daily priorities to ensure efficient workflow.
  • Direct, supervise, and support all inspection and testing activities.
  • Review and interpret product specifications to perform accurate and compliant quality checks.
  • Conduct inspections using precision measuring instruments and advanced inspection systems.
  • Perform destructive testing including OES chemistry, tensile, and hardness testing.
  • Oversee calibration and management of IMTE.
  • Document NCRs for nonconforming products and assist with corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with production to maintain quality and compliance.
  • Record test data, maintain logs, and generate quality reports.
  • Drive continuous improvement to reduce waste and increase productivity.

Job Function

Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

  • Lead the QC team and manage daily priorities to ensure efficient workflow
  • Direct, supervise, and support all inspection and testing activities
  • Review and interpret product specifications to perform accurate and compliant quality checks
  • Conduct inspections using precision measuring instruments and advanced inspection systems
  • Perform destructive testing, including OES chemistry analysis, tensile testing, and hardness testing
  • Oversee calibration and management of Inspection, Measuring, and Test Equipment (IMTE)
  • Document Nonconforming Material Reports (NCR) for any nonconforming product
  • Assist the QA Manager with NCR, Corrective Action and containment activity
  • Collaborate closely with production teams to maintain quality and ensure compliance
  • Record test data, maintain inspection logs, and generate detailed quality reports
  • Drive continuous improvement activities focused on eliminating waste, improving productivity, and enhancing process performance.
Required Skills

Qualifications:

This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where attention to detail and adherence to quality standards are paramount. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that products meet quality standards through various inspection methods.

  • Proven ability to lead, train, and mentor QC technicians
  • Strong communication skills and ability to prioritize tasks and manage workflow
  • Strong knowledge of inspection methods, quality standards, and manufacturing processes
  • Proficiency with precision measuring tools and advanced inspection systems
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and product specifications including GD&T
  • Experience performing destructive and non‑destructive testing is a plus
  • Experience in performing mechanical inspections required.
  • Quality inspection: 3 years (Required).

Job Type: Full-time

Schedule: 8-hour shift (M-F)

Work Location: In person with ability to commute to Cleveland, OH 44130
