Job summary

DuBose National Energy seeks a Quality Control (QC) Manager for its Cleveland, Ohio location. You will lead and mentor the QC team, oversee all inspection activities, and ensure compliance with product specifications.

You will collaborate with production, manage NCRs, and drive continuous improvement in quality systems while supporting a high-performance manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• This position requires leading, training, and mentoring QC technicians.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T.
• Experience with destructive and non-destructive testing is a plus.
• Quality inspection experience is required (3+ years).

Responsibilities

• Lead the QC team and manage daily priorities to ensure efficient workflow.
• Direct, supervise, and support all inspection and testing activities.
• Review and interpret product specifications to perform accurate quality checks.
• Conduct inspections using precision measuring instruments and advanced inspection systems.
• Perform destructive testing including OES chemistry analysis, tensile, and hardness tests.
• Oversee calibration and management of IMTE.
• Document NCRs for nonconforming product and assist NCR/CAP containment actions.
• Collaborate with production to maintain quality and compliance.
• Record test data and generate detailed quality reports.
• Drive continuous improvement to reduce waste and improve productivity.

Job Function

Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

• Lead the QC team and manage daily priorities to ensure efficient workflow
• Direct, supervise, and support all inspection and testing activities
• Review and interpret product specifications to perform accurate and compliant quality checks
• Conduct inspections using precision measuring instruments and advanced inspection systems
• Perform destructive testing, including OES chemistry analysis, tensile testing, and hardness testing
• Oversee calibration and management of Inspection, Measuring, and Test Equipment (IMTE)
• Document Nonconforming Material Reports (NCR) for any nonconforming product
• Assist the QA Manager with NCR, Corrective Action and containment activity
• Collaborate closely with production teams to maintain quality and ensure compliance
• Record test data, maintain inspection logs, and generate detailed quality reports
• Drive continuous improvement activities focused on eliminating waste, improving productivity, and enhancing process performance.

• Proven ability to lead, train, and mentor QC technicians
• Strong communication skills and ability to prioritize tasks and manage workflow
• Strong knowledge of inspection methods, quality standards, and manufacturing processes
• Proficiency with precision measuring tools and advanced inspection systems
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and product specifications including GD&T
• Experience performing destructive and non‑destructive testing is a plus
• Experience in performing mechanical inspections required.
• Quality inspection: 3 years (Required).

Job Type: Full-time

Schedule: 8-hour shift (M-F)

Work Location: In person with ability to commute to Cleveland, OH 44130
