Job summary

HITT Contracting Inc. in Houston, TX seeks a Quality Control Associate to update and coordinate the planning, implementation, and supervision of the QC plan across projects, ensuring alignment with the project schedule and client expectations.

The role requires a civil/structural/electrical/mechanical engineering background, OSHA-10, and data center construction experience. You will develop site-specific QC programs, lead inspections, and provide weekly status updates to the QC Program Manager.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil, structural, architectural, mechanical or electrical engineering or equivalent work experience.
• Active certification with the Army Corps of Engineers- Construction Quality Management for Contractors or active within 3 months of hire.
• OSHA-10 certification.
• 2 years of data center construction experience minimal.
• Ability to develop site-specific QC programs and manage the four phases of control.
• Effective communication with project teams and clients.
• Knowledge of CSA and MEP disciplines and building codes (NFPA-70E, NEC).
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and strong document control.

Responsibilities

• Participate in planning with QCS team, PM, and superintendent to align QC expectations.
• Develop features of work (FOW) and tie to project schedule.
• Create site-specific QC programs for small to mid projects and submit for review.
• Develop meeting and inspection templates for each FOW.
• Execute four QC phases for each FOW with subs, vendors, and clients; conduct meetings.
• Inspect incoming materials for submittal compliance and storage.
• Oversee inspections and perform inspections as needed.
• Track deficiencies and rework to final resolution with corrective actions.
• Document and track QC documentation including third-party inspections and test reports.
• Provide weekly status reports with progress, status, and look ahead to QC Program Manager.
• Attend progress meetings and report QC activity status.
• Incorporate safe work practices across the QC program.
• Develop final punch list and oversee project closeout.
• Interface with client representatives for QC status and feedback.
• Coordinate QC support for startup and commissioning with MEP team.
